A new romantic rumor has surfaced as the Boston Celtics commemorated their 18th NBA championship by holding a victory parade in Boston’s streets. WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick was seen with Celtics’ shooting guard Jaylen Brown, leading to rumors about their possible romance.
Gondrezick, aged 26 and a player for the Chicago Sky, was spotted smiling in a white dress and sunglasses while riding on a duck boat with Brown, who held the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP trophy. Brown, who is 27 years old, wore clothing that included a black t-shirt with the phrase “State Your Source” on it, which seemed to be a nod to his previous tweet during the NBA playoffs. Gondrezick started her basketball career at Michigan University in 2016, earning a spot on the Big-Ten All-Freshman Team for averaging 14.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. The next year, she moved to West Michigan but had to take a break because of NCAA transfer regulations. In the following three seasons, she participated in 56 matches, with an average of 17.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
Gondrezick was selected as the fourth overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the WNBA Draft and proceeded to make 19 bench appearances during her first season. Following her release from the Fever, she took a break from professional basketball for two years before coming back to the Chicago Sky. She talked in February about her choice to come back to the sport, pointing to better mental readiness as the explanation.
