At a height of 6 feet 1 inch, Rob Dillingham demonstrated his ability to score points in his first year at the University of Kentucky. Scoring an average of 15.2 points each game with strong shooting stats of 47.5% overall and 44.4% from three-point range, Dillingham gained recognition in the SEC. His skill at shooting threes from long range was one of the top in the conference for players who made at least 2.0 threes per game.
Dillingham’s influence was unmistakable all season long. He was honored with awards like the 2023-24 SEC Sixth Man of the Year and recognition on the All-SEC Second Team and All-SEC Freshman Team. His exceptional showing versus fifth-seeded Tennessee highlighted his capacity to thrive in stressful situations, achieving a personal best of 35 points with a 70% shooting rate and guiding his team to win.
Journey to Kentucky and More
Prior to joining Kentucky, Dillingham improved his abilities at Overtime Elite in the 2022-23 season, recording averages of 14.7 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. He started his basketball journey at a young age, being named the top high school basketball player in 2020-21 by the Charlotte Observer, which paved the way for his quick rise in college basketball.
